Challenge: Introducing transportation IT solution to optimize resources

Our client approached us with a request for transportation management software aimed at optimizing resources and enhancing business processes. The goal was to develop a system that efficiently handles logistics, load mapping, and tracking.

To meet these requirements, we decided to develop a SaaS-based platform and integrate it with a GIS system. This approach allowed us to create an innovative transportation IT solution encompassing routing, navigation, scheduling, and visualization capabilities.

Solution: Enhancing transportation processes with comprehensive SaaS software solution

Innowise has developed a comprehensive SaaS software solution with an integrated GIS system to easily manage transportation processes. Based on the client’s requirements, we have developed a custom platform that has no equivalent in the European market.Our solution offers a range of powerful features, including routing, dispatching, monitoring, and analytics, all tailored specifically for our client's needs. With this platform, day-to-day operations in the trucking industry can be managed efficiently, resulting in reduced business inefficiencies.

Route planner

The system provides the optimal routing method by presenting the most practical or shortest route, allowing users to view load details, the distance between stops, and the estimated travel time. Additionally, the system calculates truck-legal routes to prevent additional expenses and minimize potential vehicle damage.

Real-time tracking

We have integrated the capability to monitor the status of shipments and track load information. Also, our system automatically updates driver shipment ETA calculations, providing customers with enhanced visibility.

Safe & reliable navigation

The solution offers a distinctive truck routing experience, providing instant navigation without any delays. Map data is stored in the backend, eliminating the need for downloading. Moreover, the system can automatically reroute in case of unforeseen incidents on the road. To ensure safe driving, lane guidance, speed limit alerts, and real-time traffic information are clearly displayed.

High-quality maps

We carefully selected the top GIS system available in the market and seamlessly integrated it into our fully customizable mapping platform. Our solution enables clear visualization of location information and precise geodata on high-quality uploaded maps.

Innowise followed the Scrum methodology for this project, enabling us to deliver the desired outcomes efficiently. The implementation of the main features spanned approximately five months, during which we maintained close collaboration with the client, swiftly incorporating additional features into the platform.

Our developers consistently engaged with the client through Google Meets and Google Chat, fostering effective communication channels. To maintain progress and alignment, each one-week sprint phase was accompanied by daily stand-up meetings.
