Innowise has developed a web telecom analytics solution that monitors and visualizes network performance, facilitating maintenance and troubleshooting.
Our client is a well-established Italian telecom provider. They are a leading European technology company dedicated to transforming telecommunications and driving connected innovation forward.
Detailed information about the client cannot be disclosed under the provisions of the NDA.
Our customer faced significant challenges in managing and optimizing the network infrastructure. The primary pain point was the inability to monitor network signal quality and usage in real-time. This lack of visibility into network performance led to frequent service disruptions and prolonged maintenance routines. The client tasked us with building a comprehensive solution that would address these issues, streamline their network-related operations, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Drawing on our expertise in data analytics in telecom industry, we have developed a web application that offers comprehensive network performance monitoring functionality. In addition to analytics, the solution visualizes network performance in readable metrics. The metrics help network specialists quickly identify issues and allocate resources for troubleshooting.
Our engineers developed the platform with Docker containers using AKS, Rancher, and OpenShift. That allowed the team to build, test, and deploy the parts of a solution as separate modules, which were developed simultaneously for optimal delivery. The solution monitors the network’s signal performance, capacity, and traffic patterns to identify issues such as signal strength drops and hardware failures. Timely data empowers the customer’s network specialists to pinpoint and resolve problems quickly. With timely troubleshooting, the customer reduces network outage times, improves customer satisfaction rates, and enhances maintenance efforts.
The development team also leveraged their expertise in data analytics in telecom industry to enable intelligent analysis for network performance. With the help of advanced AI algorithms, the software can analyze the data on network performance to streamline operations like maintenance and troubleshooting. Using real-time and historical data, the tool can anticipate issues, offer possible root causes, and suggest ways to resolve said problems. In addition, continuous performance monitoring informs AI to schedule regular maintenance routines.
To improve the versatility and maximize the network analysis solution’s reach and adaptability, tech experts made it deployable both on-premise and on the most popular cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP. On-premise deployment grants the organization complete control over the data and allows for frictionless infrastructure customization, while the cloud simplifies maintenance, updates, and resource allocation.
Innowise experts implemented several features to improve the web application’s security. They used Keycloak to implement Single SIgn-On – a seamless authentication process for network specialists, which allowed them to log in across the entire software ecosystem by logging into a single solution. This way, the security is improved through decreased credentials exposure. Since the app supports cloud deployment, the engineers used solutions to safely store keys and passwords on respective cloud platforms – for instance, Key Vault for Microsoft Azure. As for other sensitive data, the experts used Secrets OPerationS (SOPS) to encrypt user information and network metrics.

Innowise followed an Agile development methodology, breaking the project into several stages. During the discovery phase, the team thoroughly analyzed the client’s network infrastructure and identified pain points. Then, they created a project roadmap and a clickable prototype to visualize the proposed features.
After that, it was time to build the solution. The engineers deployed network analytics, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, security tools, IaC, monitoring, and logging solutions. They ensured close collaboration with the client’s development teams throughout the process. Handling testing and automation, the developers automated Cucumber tests using Jira Xray and Jenkins to validate the functionality and performance of the new systems. In addition to that, the team provided L4 technical support to address any issues promptly.
Innowise has implemented a solution that brought needed transparency to the network performance for the customer. The web application enhances network performance monitoring, offering full control over the entire infrastructure.
The app’s advanced monitoring capabilities allow the client to keep an eye on their network status in real-time. This way, they can identify potential issues before they escalate and proactively address them. By anticipating problems early, the client significantly reduces the risk of network disruptions, mitigating both costs and potential negative impacts on customer satisfaction.
In addition, the platform can predict possible network failures or performance degradations with the help of data analytics. It enables the customer to schedule maintenance and upgrades more strategically, minimizing downtime and ensuring the network runs optimally.
The strategic data-driven approach to network management has a positive ripple effect, improving operational efficiency, reducing maintenance costs, and elevating customer satisfaction levels.
