Our customer is a US-based 50-employee industrial equipment and components retailer planning business expansion in the competitive landscape of eCommerce.

Over the past year, our client has been grappling with problems related to their proprietary ERP system, reporting functionality issues, integration challenges, slow performance, data silos, etc. The organization’s enterprise resource planning system was outdated and inefficient, resulting in operational bottlenecks, hindering data-driven decision-making, and preventing seamless information flow between departments. In pursuing an all-around digital overhaul, they sought a more modern and flexible ERP to provide the foundation for future growth, streamline merchant operations, improve analytics and reporting, enhance integration capabilities, and boost overall performance.
After analyzing the customer’s requirements, Innowise recommended Odoo as a replacement for legacy ERP to manage the retail pipeline, from initial touchpoints to completed deals. We chose Odoo as it is a highly customizable platform, allowing retailers to adapt the software to their specific business requirements.
Drawing upon our knowledge and experience, we selected Odoo as the ideal choice to replace the client’s outdated ERP system. We utilized its standard functions, which met 99% of their requirements, and additionally, we implemented on-demand features as needed.
Initially, our project team automated all critical business processes, including inventory management, order processing, sales tracking, pricing policies, tax management, financial reports, and more.
Since Odoo’s flexibility allows for configuring standard functions to meet the retailer’s requirements, we set up default features. This included setting up product catalogs, defining pricing strategies, managing tax rules, and establishing supply chain workflows. As our customer requested, our specialists integrated auxiliary functionality to manage online sales and set up POS terminals for physical stores. In addition, they implemented advanced analytics tools that were not included in the standard configuration but were essential to their merchant operations.
Thus, combining basic and customizable options, we implemented an Odoo-based ERP that effectively manages inventory levels, purchase orders, and replenishment processes across the entire supply chain in real-time. Additionally, we configured:

Lastly, we implemented powerful accounting and financial reporting modules that ensure compliance with US business standards, generate accurate reports, and track revenue, expenses, and profits.
Following the ERP implementation, we proceeded with the CRM, customizing organizational units and basic functions as required. As a result of seamless CRM integration with ERP, we expanded the ERP’s functionality. Our project team built a centralized hub for managing customer data, leads, and interactions while supervising sales activities. As an example, when an order is created in the CRM system, the ERP system automatically generates a corresponding order, updating inventory levels and triggering fulfillment.
As for customer search, the CRM system centralizes client data, including contact details, purchase history, customer preferences, and communication logs. We made it easy for sales reps to access and update customer records.
As part of our automation initiatives, our skilled professionals envisioned the eCommerce pipeline from the initial touchpoint to delivery. Specifically, we set up pre-sale activities where sales representatives capture leads, assign them to specific sales representatives, and track each lead’s progress. Further, for active clients, we enabled lead scoring, sending automated email responses, and setting up reminders to better manage customer quotes and feedback. Through Odoo-based CRM, sales reps can also handle customer support inquiries, track service requests, and provide timely follow-ups, building and maintaining customer loyalty.
Using QR codes, our project team advanced inventory management, allowing sales reps to track and label commodities correctly and streamline point-of-sale transactions. Moreover, we printed unique QR codes on the customer’s items, enabling quick and accurate identification, checkout, discounts, and promotions.
Leveraging expertise in AI, our project team developed an intelligent chatbot equipped with advanced algorithms to automate rule-based activities, alleviate the burden on staff, and free up resources for more non-trivial, value-adding tasks. Through seamless integration with the client’s website, ERP, and CRM systems, we employed cutting-edge AI capabilities to understand user intent and generate relevant human-like responses in customer support.
Recognizing the importance of a robust digital presence, we provided expert guidance on optimizing digital sales, advertising, and customer acquisition through Google Ads tools. This online advertising platform displays customer’s brief advertisements, service offerings, product listings, and other promotional materials. This leads to increased visibility, heightened targeted traffic, and a boost of visitors, resulting in significant demand growth.
Going beyond the digital domain, our accomplished specialists embarked on a brand transformation journey, including new logo development, corporate styles, and a revamped website appearance.
