Innowise has developed and implemented a new architecture for the client’s internal network.
Our customer is a major insurance company providing services across the US.
Detailed information about the client cannot be disclosed under the provisions of the NDA.
The IT infrastructure has evolved along with the company’s growth. As technologies improved, the number of clients increased and geography expanded, new equipment was purchased and outdated equipment was modernized.
As a result, the hardware solutions that worked in the company turned out to be quite disparate — different generations, built on the basis of different vendors. As a result, there were permanent difficulties with their maintenance and administration. The corporate and data center networks needed unification and modernization.
To address this issue, our client came up with the idea of completely rebuilding the whole internal network’s infrastructure.
Innowise has developed and implemented a new architecture for the client’s internal network. The scope of work included auditing the client’s existing network solution, providing suggestions on its modernization, and introducing a new three-tier network architecture.
Additionally, our team assisted the client in moving to a single hardware vendor and enhancing their network security.
Innowise has overhauled the client’s solution. By implementing a three-tier architecture and moving the hardware to a single vendor, our team has managed to optimize interactions between equipment and achieve a better network topology. As a result, the network is easier to manage and shows better scalability and reliability along with reduced maintenance costs.
Our team has introduced the OSPF dynamic routing protocol. This protocol gathers link state information from available routers and constructs a topology map of the network, allowing to calculate shortest routes through the network.
The OSPF protocol shows fast convergence and provides better load balancing. It multicasts link state updates and sends updates when there are network changes.
We utilized a cluster of firewalls at mission-critical sites to enforce remote access policies and protect the network perimeter.
In addition to that, our team implemented segmentation and user group collaboration policies to isolate sensitive information and ensure a high level of data security. Also, Innowise introduced advanced encryption algorithms to make data transmissions between the company’s offices protected.
Innowise has also implemented a monitoring system that makes it easy to gain access to the network’s parameters in a live format. With its help, our client can swiftly get up-to-date information about each node in a multilevel system and predict the behavior of the network. It saves troubleshooting time and reduces network maintenance costs.
Our network engineers have designed the new solution architecture to overcome one of the major challenges our client faced: low availability of the network during peak usage periods. The solution we’ve designed is configured to deliver quality performance and handle different loads and failures with minimal or zero downtime.
Hardware
Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco AnyConnect, Cisco SD-WAN
Network protocols
OSPF, LACP, RSTP, vPC, DHCP, SNMP, RADIUS. 802.1x, VxLAN EVPN
Before developing the new network solution, our team has thoroughly analyzed the client’s needs and suggested several optimal routes towards achieving the goal.
After agreeing upon the details, our team started building a new network infrastructure from scratch. We kept close contact with the client, providing on-demand and regular bi-weekly updates on the project.

In the end, our client received a modern information management system with secure communication channels. It shows high performance, flexibility in administration, easy troubleshooting, great scalability, and zero downtime.
All network access is fortified by next-generation firewalls (NGFW), while traffic between offices is encrypted using advanced cryptographic algorithms, ensuring maximum data security. Thus, the network speeds five times faster than before, and achieves a staggering 99% reduction in downtime.
